Job Overview
The Departmental Manager is responsible for leading departmental operations to achieve productivity, service excellence, and financial targets. This role focuses on people leadership, process compliance, operational efficiency, and delivering high levels of service while embedding the brand’s values.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure effective utilization of people and resources to achieve productivity targets

Lead and manage the department to ensure consistent compliance with company SOPs, cut-offs, and daily reporting requirements

Manage and control operational systems to support efficient service delivery

Achieve budgeted and agreed financial targets

Enforce health and safety standards, coordinate emergency responses, and maintain a safe working environment

Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders such as stores, and external stakeholders including suppliers, to resolve queries promptly

Continuously analyse, interpret, and report on operational performance to drive process improvements

Deliver consistently high service levels to customers

Promote, live, and instill the brand’s values within the team
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)

Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
Experience

3–5 years’ experience within a Distribution Centre environment
