Role Purpose

The IT Solution Delivery Executive is responsible for driving the successful delivery of IT solutions aligned to business strategy. This role ensures effective planning, prioritisation, governance, and execution of IT initiatives while maintaining system stability, data integrity, and service excellence across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the IT roadmap in collaboration with senior IT leadership, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.

• Partner with application portfolio managers, the PMO, and enterprise architecture teams to prioritise and sequence business requirements across the IT delivery pipeline.

• Plan and coordinate resources across project and application teams to meet IT demand, resolving priority conflicts and capacity constraints.

• Ensure production system uptime, data integrity, and adherence to agreed service level agreements in collaboration with IT Executives.

• Participate in contract and commercial negotiations and actively manage vendor and service provider performance.

• Define and enforce best-practice approaches to system design, integration, and implementation to ensure architectural alignment.

• Embed ITIL principles within the SDLC and ensure clear accountability for service delivery and support.

• Drive resolution of escalated incidents, problems, and service issues to closure.

• Strengthen project management disciplines and delivery execution to support business change and transformation.

• Manage annual and monthly IT budgets, identifying cost optimisation opportunities and ensuring delivery within approved plans.

• Lead, develop, and inspire teams, partners, and suppliers to drive innovation and high performance.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology or a related field

• Project Management certification (PMBOK, PRINCE2 or similar) is advantageous

Experience

• 6–8 years’ experience in a senior IT management role, preferably within retail, merchandise, or supply chain environments

• Proven experience managing large, multi-disciplinary IT teams and complex delivery portfolios

• Strong background in delivering multiple projects or large IT programmes concurrently

• Experience managing outsourced services, vendors, and managed service providers

• Demonstrated capability in application development and maintenance leadership

• Experience managing substantial IT budgets and financial plans

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of retail and supply chain systems

• In-depth knowledge of ITIL service management processes

• Financial literacy, budgeting, and cost management expertise

• Knowledge of procurement strategies and IT strategy development

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical capability

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language

• Strong people management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate priorities and trade-offs

• Strategic planning, organisation, and execution skills

• Excellent verbal and written business communication
