Job Overview
FlySafair Careers is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Major Module Specialist to manage and oversee all aspects related to major aircraft modules throughout their contractual lifecycle. This role ensures full compliance with airworthiness, lease obligations, and operational requirements while supporting effective fleet and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
Major Module & Contract Management

Review and verify major module records during induction and redelivery

Plan and coordinate the movement of major modules across the fleet

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and airworthiness requirements
-
Monitor adherence to engine and airframe lease terms to minimise redelivery risk

Ensure operational limitations within lease agreements are communicated to Operations
-
Monitor commercial aspects of lease agreements related to major modules
-
Assist Management with contract assessments, wording, and negotiations
-
Provide inputs for new and amended maintenance and lease contracts
Maintenance, Compliance & Technical Oversight
-
Remain informed on evolving ADS and SBS requirements affecting major modules
-
Ensure CAMO, MRO, and AMO functions are correctly applied in line with lease specifics
-
Prepare detailed shop visit work scopes for major modules
-
Coordinate and monitor shop visits to ensure technical, quality, and contractual compliance
-
Ensure leased aircraft and engines meet contractual and redelivery standards
-
Implement controls, monitor compliance, and address non-compliance proactively
Reporting, Administration & Financial Control

Maintain accurate administrative data for major modules throughout contract periods

Provide accurate and timely reporting to Lessors

Ensure invoices are processed correctly and escalations are managed effectively

Monitor and ensure all applicable warranties and credits are claimed
-
Support forecasting and planning to enhance contract and fleet management
Inventory, Planning & Stakeholder Engagement

Plan for sufficient availability of major modules across the fleet

Ensure stock related to major modules is effectively controlled

Educate internal departments on contractual and compliance requirements
-
Proactively communicate policy changes and technical updates to stakeholders
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with Lessors, suppliers, and internal teams
-
Provide support to team members and contribute to achieving departmental objectives
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or equivalent
-
Qualification in a relevant aviation technical field
-
5–8 years’ experience in Technical Contract Administration or a related technical role
Experience & Knowledge
-
Strong understanding of aircraft systems and lease economic structures
-
Knowledge of aircraft records, aviation regulations, and quality standards

Experience in aircraft and engine lease and contract administration
-
Understanding of generic CAMO control systems
-
Experience with CAMO maintenance systems is advantageous
-
Aviation industry experience is advantageous
Technical Skills

Computer proficient with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
