Responsibilities

  • Execute contracts, manage material and site qualifications, and build business continuity plans across the SA business.

  • Monitor business demand forecasts and material availability to ensure compliance and optimize procurement execution.

  • Manage fixed and variable cost components, support finance in aligning PFX and annual operating plans with P&L requirements.

  • Ensure supply security with a zero out-of-stock mindset and make timely, ethical decisions in a complex business environment.

  • Analyse supply market dynamics and implement negotiation levers, including should-cost, total cost of ownership, eAuctions, supply chain financing, and fixed/variable cost models.

  • Support transformational initiatives, including M&A, manufacturing footprint adjustments, path-to-profitability projects, and divestures.

  • Implement global technical platforms and supplier competitive tension tools to deliver sector benchmark advantages.

  • Review and approve all RFPs and proposals, applying category levers to achieve the lowest total cost to business.

  • Lead Value Engineering and productivity initiatives, leveraging regional and global scale to deliver P&L savings.

  • Establish and govern CVA/commodity splits and pricing mechanisms to manage risk effectively.

  • Provide technical leadership to suppliers, driving performance improvement and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

  • Act as key enabler to Legal, ensuring optimal contract terms and timely contract execution.

  • Manage transformational project timelines, act as gatekeeper for critical purchasing tasks, and implement productivity projects in collaboration with sector Procurement and XFP teams.

  • Supplier management, including selection, evaluation, sourcing plan preparation, value engineering, productivity projects, new supplier development, and compliance with SQA and sustainability requirements.

  • Lead supplier diversity programs, stakeholder engagement, and risk management initiatives.

  • Resolve disputes related to supply, quality, invoices, or payments.

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, providing guidance and influence across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of strategic sourcing experience within a global organization, with multi-geography and multi-site responsibility.

  • Proven capability in business continuity planning and establishing supply security through safety stock, VMI, and strong planning partnerships.

  • Demonstrated track record of at least 5% year-on-year productivity delivery and P&L savings.

  • Expertise in cost reduction, sourcing models, and levers for unique procurement categories, with pipeline value exceeding $1M annually.

  • Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage ambiguity effectively.

  • Experience in international, multicultural business environments.

  • Excellent communication, networking, influencing, and analytical skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage projects with clear priorities.

  • Fluent in English with advanced computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP). Knowledge of e-procurement tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to develop and execute end-to-end category sourcing strategies and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
