Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support van sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with organizational objectives.
  • Lead, drive, and embed a customer-focused sales culture.
  • Conduct daily gate meetings before market activities.
  • Monitor and review performance, execution, and discipline KPIs.
  • Coach sales staff to enhance capability and performance, including in-market coaching for van sales representatives.
  • Ensure 100% outlet coverage within assigned routes.
  • Conduct individual customer visits to address specific issues.
  • Drive business development and growth of the customer base.
  • Develop and implement internal and external strategies to increase market share and business growth.
  • Align strategic direction with organizational goals and manage change effectively.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with the training team on critical business skills.
  • Perform performance reviews and provide feedback to the sales team.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or equivalent (3 years).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG, including at least 1 year in a sales role.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong customer relations and results-driven mindset.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to apply insights to drive volume growth.
  • Strong planning, organizing, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to communicate with impact and analyze sales reports to identify opportunities for growth.
