About the Role

Sab Vacancies is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Analyst to support supply chain efficiency and inventory accuracy across business units. This role focuses on monitoring inventory controls, improving reporting accuracy, identifying operational gaps, and driving initiatives that enhance inventory management performance and cost optimization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review daily inventory controls and open cycle counts, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Follow up on raw material (RM) and finished goods (FG) inventory postings and ensure any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Conduct monthly distribution centre visits to audit inventory processes, test control effectiveness, and review operational KPIs across the business unit.
  • Prepare and manage weekly reporting on Supply Chain Overheads.
  • Collaborate with Regional Specialists and Scheduling Managers to review action plans and address operational gaps.
  • Monitor changes in demand and evaluate the impact on inventory holding levels.
  • Identify and report packaging interface discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Review the Supply Chain Overheads package monthly while tracking and monitoring expected credits.
  • Develop training materials and facilitate regional training sessions to strengthen inventory management practices.
  • Align inventory processes with DPO and VPO standards, ensuring standard operating procedures are implemented and rolled out effectively.
  • Implement and monitor the transporter shortage claims process to reduce the occurrence of shortages.
  • Consolidate business unit reporting on supply chain operations, identify performance gaps, and support the implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Monitor compliance with freshness and stock rotation policies according to DPO and VPO standards.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly obsolescence analysis and forecasting for raw materials.
  • Coordinate annual inventory budgets and monthly latest estimates in collaboration with logistics and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Establish weekly and monthly review routines with regional teams to address KPI gaps and implement improvement actions.
  • Maintain a high standard of data accuracy within inventory reporting systems.
  • Manage and monitor mass balance inputs for returnable assets.

Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations or inventory management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Advanced financial and operational analysis skills
