Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end procurement and logistics solutions for grains, ensuring cost-effective and timely supply to mills.

  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies, leveraging market analysis, benchmarking, and procurement metrics.

  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to optimize costs and secure supply.

  • Manage high-intensity trade-to-mill operations, coordinating grain deliveries during harvest and off-season periods.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including mills, transporters, and internal teams, to ensure seamless supply chain execution.

  • Analyze operational economics, cost drivers, and logistics challenges to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and logistics processes.

  • Support international sourcing initiatives, applying global best practices and maintaining awareness of market trends.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of specialized grains procurement and logistics experience with proven end-to-end execution capabilities.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in trade-to-mill supply operations, demonstrating ability to manage supply economically in both surplus and tight market conditions.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Commercially aware with understanding of operations economics and cost drivers.

  • Effective relationship management with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and execute projects independently.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement category strategies and achieve measurable results.
