Product Owner – Pep Vacancies
Role Purpose
The Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the product roadmap by aligning business strategy, customer needs, and technology capabilities. This role ensures that business systems and processes follow industry best practices while overseeing system delivery, continuous improvement, and effective technology support for users.
Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the product and system development roadmap aligned to business objectives and KPIs

Strategically lead new system and product development initiatives

Own, prioritise, and continuously refine the product backlog
-
Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
-
Collaborate closely with design, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions
-
Ensure successful delivery of product increments within each sprint
-
Manage system improvement initiatives and project delivery activities
-
Oversee ongoing support services to the business to ensure system stability and performance
-
Ensure alignment between business processes, technology solutions, and industry best practices
Job Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner, Solutions Manager, or in a similar role
-
Exposure to retail or logistics environments will be advantageous
-
Proven experience in designing and implementing business and technology solutions
-
Hands-on involvement in software development lifecycles and product documentation
-
Practical experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
-
Ability to support multiple business processes across one or more systems
-
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centred design
-
Solid knowledge of information systems and business system architecture
-
High level of computer literacy, including MS Office, MS Project, and/or Google Workspace
-
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and solution trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
-
Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
-
Effective project management capability with excellent organisational skills
-
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, including leading workshops and training sessions
-
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

Ability to develop, articulate, and present ideas clearly and persuasively
