Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an opportunity for a driven and dynamic Account Manager to join the Sales team, based in Queenstown. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager and plays a key part in driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional execution at store level.
Purpose of the Role
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing account plans to grow volume and profitability across allocated customers. This includes identifying new business opportunities, strengthening brand loyalty, and ensuring optimal trade execution while consistently delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement account plans aligned to sales strategy and customer needs

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and grow volume

Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to ensure service excellence and brand advocacy

Conduct regular account reviews and business planning sessions to assess performance and unlock opportunities

Manage assets and equipment to ensure optimal use and return on investment

Generate accurate customer orders and manage the sales cycle effectively

Execute promotions in line with agreed plans and ensure effective point-of-sale implementation

Monitor and manage cash and credit accounts in line with company guidelines

Compile competitor intelligence and market feedback to inform sales strategies
Knowledge and Competencies

Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles in an FMCG environment

Familiarity with order taking, merchandising, cooler management, and trade execution

Knowledge of basic financial principles and credit management

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Analytical thinker with strong numerical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and in a team, with a results-oriented approach

Energetic, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Self-disciplined, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Qualifications and Experience

Matric and a completed 3-year qualification in Sales or Marketing

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an FMCG sales or marketing role
-
Valid Code 08 driver’s license

Computer literacy or willingness to develop required digital skills
