Beauty Therapist – Accounts Receivable Debtors Administrator

Job Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Debtors Administrator to join our team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing and maintaining the debtors book by ensuring timely and accurate debt collection from customers.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a debt collection environment

  • Relevant accounting qualification

Advantageous:

  • Debt collection experience in a pharmaceutical environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and maintain customer accounts according to standard operating procedures

  • Conduct ITC checks before account approvals

  • Accurately allocate daily customer payments to the correct accounts

  • Report customer complaints and irregularities to management

  • Generate and review weekly age analysis reports for outstanding debt

  • Follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices and obtain payment commitments

  • Keep detailed records of all correspondence and interactions with customers

  • Maintain and update customer details on the master database

  • Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Monitor age analysis and ensure outstanding debt does not exceed 60 days

  • Contact customers monthly to follow up on overdue accounts

  • Resolve disputes and queries on customer accounts promptly

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations

Competencies Required:

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Trustworthy, honest, and self-motivated

  • Strong attention to detail and accountability

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Clear MIE, criminal and credit record
