Miladys, part of Mr Price Group, is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Store Manager for our Vincent Park store. This role is ideal for a self-motivated retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about customer service, team leadership, and achieving results.

You will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales growth, maintaining stock control, and ensuring a premium customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management
Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishment of stock. Manage stock levels through regular counts and control measures to prevent losses. Maintain a well-organized stockroom and authorize returns, write-offs, and breakages.

Sales Growth and Profitability
Analyze sales and profitability reports to assist in creating and executing action plans. Monitor in-store product performance and suggest initiatives to increase sales and visibility. Contribute to local marketing activities and promote customer account sign-ups where applicable.

Risk Management
Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including admin, security, and health and safety standards.

Customer Experience
Implement and maintain all customer service processes, including markdowns, promotions, pricing, visual standards, and store cleanliness to meet service expectations.

Leadership and Development
Support the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve key performance indicators and uphold company values. Identify development needs, lead training and coaching efforts, and manage recruitment and performance as per company guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12

• Minimum of 3 years in an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager role

• Strong background in sales and service management

• Proficient in computer applications and reporting tools

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Solid understanding of the retail environment, brand representation, and customer engagement
