Mr Price Vacancies – Assistant Store Manager Mr Price Cellular – Lenasia

Mr Price is looking for a results-driven and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join the Cellular division in Lenasia. This role supports the Store Manager in managing daily operations to meet and exceed store objectives, customer service standards, and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock on the sales floor.

  • Manage stock levels through regular counts, audits, and loss prevention procedures to reduce risk and maintain availability.

  • Maintain stockroom organization and housekeeping to meet company standards.

  • Support the handling of write-offs, recalls, repairs, returns, and out-of-box failures in accordance with company policy.

Sales Growth and Profitability

  • Analyse in-store sales and profitability reports to identify and execute action plans to improve performance.

  • Monitor product performance and provide feedback to improve product offerings and drive revenue.

  • Identify sales opportunities through local marketing initiatives and competitor analysis.

  • Lead efforts to grow mobile, cellular, credit, and insurance sales to meet budgeted targets.

Risk Management

  • Assist with in-store compliance checks including administrative audits, health and safety checks, stock loss controls, and system reports.

  • Enforce company policies and procedures to minimize operational risk and ensure accountability.

Customer Experience

  • Implement and maintain high standards for customer service, merchandising, promotions, and general store presentation.

  • Ensure consistent execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, and pricing updates.

  • Drive a customer-first culture by responding to customer feedback and ensuring a welcoming store environment.

Leadership and Staff Development

  • Support the Store Manager in leading the team to meet store KPIs and align with company values.

  • Identify training needs and provide coaching to build a high-performance team.

  • Assist in recruitment, performance management, and succession planning in line with HR policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail (experience in a supervisory or management role is advantageous).

  • Strong understanding of sales, service management, and the retail environment.

  • Budgeting, planning, and communication skills.

  • Computer literacy and familiarity with cellular, mobile, insurance, and credit products.
