Mr Price is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Store Manager to join our Cellular team. This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales growth, ensuring stock and risk management, and maintaining customer experience standards in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Management

• Oversee accurate receipt, unpacking, and merchandising of stock.

• Maintain optimal stock levels through regular counts, loss prevention actions, and effective replenishment.

• Maintain stockroom standards and ensure compliance with stock management protocols.

• Support with processing write-offs, recalls, repairs, returns, and out-of-box failures.

Sales Growth and Profitability

• Analyse sales reports and identify actions to improve profitability.

• Monitor product performance and provide feedback to enhance sales.

• Explore in-store marketing and competitor activity to boost brand presence.

• Drive mobile, cellular, credit, and insurance sales to achieve targets.

Risk Management

• Assist with regular compliance and risk checks across store operations.

• Conduct store and visual audits, ensure security protocols, and enforce health and safety measures.

Customer Experience

• Implement customer experience initiatives and maintain high service standards.

• Manage promotions, repricing, markdowns, and housekeeping to align with company standards.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead the store team to achieve operational KPIs and support company values.

• Identify development needs, provide coaching, and manage team performance.

• Support recruitment and succession planning within the store team.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Grade 12 / NQF level 4 or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience (management experience is an advantage).

• Strong knowledge of sales and service management.

• Budgeting, communication, and computer literacy skills.

• Understanding of retail operations and the cellular/mobile market, including insurance and new account products.
