Mr Price is seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join the team at Adderley Street, Cradock. This role is key to supporting the Store Manager in leading daily store operations to meet and exceed sales targets, ensure a high standard of customer service, and drive overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management:

Accurately receive and unpack stock for merchandising and replenishment.

Monitor stock levels through regular checks and action plans to minimise loss and maintain availability.

Ensure the stockroom is maintained to high housekeeping standards.

Authorise returns, write-offs, breakages, and recalls as needed.
Sales Growth & Profitability:

Analyse sales and profitability reports to support the Store Manager in driving business improvements.

Stay updated on product performance and provide insights to boost sales.

Identify and suggest initiatives to grow sales and build brand awareness in the local market.
Risk Management:

Conduct regular compliance checks across store operations to ensure adherence to policies and minimise risk.
Customer Experience Management:

Implement and maintain customer experience processes, ensuring exceptional service and store presentation at all times.
Leadership & Development:

Lead the store team to achieve set KPIs and operational goals aligned with company values.

Identify training needs and support the growth and development of team members.

Assist in recruitment and performance management in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Grade 12 (Matric) required.
-
2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory or Assistant Store Manager role.

Strong knowledge of sales and service management.

Budgeting and planning skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Sound understanding of retail operations, brand alignment, and customer engagement.
