Mr Price Vacancies – Assistant Store Manager – Northern Cape

Mr Price is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our Mompati Mall store in Vryburg. This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure business objectives, sales targets, and customer service standards are consistently achieved and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Accurately receive, unpack, and merchandise stock to replenish the sales floor.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels using established processes to minimise stock loss and maintain optimal availability.

  • Maintain a well-organised and clean stockroom environment.

  • Authorise write-offs, returns, breakages, and recalls as needed.

Sales Growth and Profitability

  • Analyse in-store sales and profitability reports to develop and support operational action plans.

  • Monitor product performance and provide feedback to improve sales strategies.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to boost store performance and promote brand visibility.

Risk Management

  • Conduct routine compliance checks across operations to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management

  • Maintain consistent implementation of all customer experience protocols including merchandising, promotions, and service standards.

  • Support a clean, welcoming environment that aligns with brand standards and enhances the customer journey.

Leadership and Development

  • Assist in leading the store team to achieve key performance indicators and operational goals.

  • Identify staff development opportunities and support succession planning through training and coaching.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management in line with company procedures.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or Assistant Store Manager role.

  • Solid understanding of sales, service, and retail operations.

  • Budgeting and cost control capabilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of brand, customer behaviour, and product trends.
