Job Description
Spar is looking for a skilled Blockman to cut meat products according to quality standards in line with the Butchery Manager’s production plans. The Blockman will be responsible for implementing daily production plans, controlling stock, managing point of sale (POS) and pricing, ensuring hygiene and housekeeping, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement daily production plans

• Control and manage stock levels

• Oversee POS and pricing

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping

• Provide excellent customer service

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 school leaver’s certificate / NQF Level 3 equivalent

• Grade 2 Meat Cutting Certificate

• Recognized Butchery apprenticeship or Learnership

• At least 2 years of experience in a Halaal Butchery

• Supermarket experience is advantageous

• Proficient cutting skills of all species

• De-boning expertise
