Job Description
Reports to: Regional General Manager/General Manager
Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing, operations, technical, and administrative functions within the branch. This includes maintaining high operational standards, driving branch growth, meeting deadlines, achieving budget targets, and working towards reducing crime levels in the area.
Minimum Requirements:

Post-matric qualification in General Management is advantageous.

Sales, Marketing, or Management diploma is an added benefit.

At least 3 years of experience at a Mid-Management level.

Financial knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and Profit and Loss.
-
Grade B Security Certificate (to be obtained if not already held).
-
Experience in the Security Industry is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership
-
Provide strong and consistent leadership within the branch, ensuring team alignment with the branch’s goals and vision.

Communicate the branch’s strategy and performance with passion and clarity.
-
Make timely, considered decisions for the long-term success and growth of the branch.
Finance, Planning & Controls
-
Develop and submit budget plans, stretch targets, and annual business plans. Ensure targets are met.

Manage and monitor branch P&L to ensure profitability and growth.
-
Oversee accurate forecasting for the branch in accordance with the Finance department.
-
Ensure effective collections are maintained to secure branch profitability.
Sales
-
Achieve branch sales targets and set ambitious sales and growth goals.
-
Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to conduct sales projections for different geographical areas.

Analyze sales figures and provide data-driven insights to management for better decision-making.
-
Support Sales Consultants in achieving their sales targets.
-
Oversee debtor control for new clients and installations.
-
Handle client complaints and ensure quick resolution.
Dealer and IIP’s
-
Achieve the budgeted Dealer and IIP sales targets.
-
Recruit and onboard additional Dealers and IIP’s within the branch footprint.
-
Include Dealers and IIP’s in the branch strategic plan and support them in achieving their contributions to branch budgets.
Operations
-
Ensure efficient planning and operational controls in all areas of the branch.
-
Drive productivity, quality, and customer service while reducing costs through modern process techniques.
-
Develop and maintain a customer-focused quality improvement culture within the branch.
-
Monitor customer service metrics regularly and take action to resolve any issues.
-
Manage the branch fleet to avoid disruptions due to vehicles being out of service.
-
Lead the operational Area Managers to ensure excellence across the branch’s functions.
-
Personally ensure that client visits for contact crimes are attended to promptly.
Health, Safety, and Environment
-
Uphold health and safety policies and procedures.
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, South African laws, codes of practice, and corporate guidelines.
Marketing
-
Drive all marketing efforts within the branch, focusing on increasing customer perception and engagement.
-
Cultivate a strong social media presence, including working with influencers and fostering relationships.
-
Promote a culture of content creation to stay relevant in the social media space.
-
Ensure implementation of OTT strategies and effective communication within the branch.
Commercial
-
Regularly review customer requirements and feedback to identify opportunities.
-
Engage regularly with customers to foster strong relationships.
-
Work with the branch sales team to ensure that new market and product opportunities are pursued effectively.

Provide creative solutions to meet technical customer demands.
People Management
-
Identify training and development needs and provide coaching to staff members.
-
Manage all HR-related issues, including recruitment, staff development, and terminations.
-
Complete necessary paperwork for recruitment and staffing changes.
Business Development
-
Identify opportunities for Residential Guarding and bulk sales in the branch’s region.
-
Develop proposals for bulk business and Residential Guarding sites.
-
Drive community involvement and operational collaborations.
-
Ensure the profitability of Residential Guarding schemes.
Attrition
-
Manage all aspects of attrition, including minimizing bad debt and financial difficulties.
-
Analyze branch attrition and plan effective actions to reduce it.
-
Ensure the sales channels remain free from exposure to bad debt.
