Job Description
The Branch Manager for PTA Central is responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing, operations, technical, and administrative functions within the branch. The role involves ensuring high operational standards, meeting deadlines, achieving branch budgets, and reducing crime levels. The Branch Manager must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills to grow the branch and sustain its success.
Minimum Requirements

Post-matric qualification in General Management (preferred).

Sales, Marketing, or Management diploma (advantageous).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Mid-Management role.

Financial knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss management.
-
Grade B Security Certificate (existing or to be obtained upon appointment).
-
Experience in the Security Industry (preferred).
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
-
Provide strong and consistent leadership to the branch and its employees.

Communicate the branch’s vision and strategy with passion and clarity.

Make informed and timely decisions for the long-term success and development of the branch.
Finance, Planning & Controls
-
Submit budget plans and targets for the branch, ensuring they are consistently met.

Develop and submit annual business plans, operating budgets, and sales forecasts in accordance with regional requirements.

Manage the branch’s P&L, ensuring sustained profitability and growth.

Oversee accurate forecasting and collections for the branch.
Sales
-
Meet and exceed branch sales targets.

Work with the Regional Sales Managers to conduct sales projections for the geographical area.

Set sales and growth targets, analyze sales figures, and provide data to support business decisions.

Support Sales Consultants to achieve sales targets and manage debtors control.
-
Address client complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Dealer and IIP Management

Achieve budgeted Dealer and IIP sales targets.

Recruit and onboard new Dealers and IIPs within the branch’s region.

Integrate Dealers and IIPs into the branch’s strategic plan and support their contributions toward branch goals.
Operations
-
Ensure effective planning and production controls to optimize operations and productivity.

Promote a customer-focused quality improvement culture.

Monitor and manage service levels throughout the branch.

Drive proactive, community-based services and manage the branch fleet to minimize disruptions.

Lead and manage operational Area Managers to ensure excellence across the branch.
Health, Safety, and Environment
-
Maintain and enforce health and safety policies in line with company guidelines.

Ensure compliance with South African laws and corporate regulations.
Marketing
-
Drive all marketing initiatives within the branch, enhancing customer perceptions and addressing feedback.

Strengthen the branch’s social media presence, build relationships with influencers, and create relevant content.

Implement relevant OTT strategies and maintain effective communication channels.
Commercial
-
Regularly review customer needs and feedback, adjusting services accordingly.

Cultivate close relationships with the branch’s sales team to drive business opportunities.

Identify new market opportunities and create innovative solutions for customer demand.
People Management
-
Identify training and development needs for staff and provide coaching.
-
Handle all HR-related issues, including recruitment, termination, and staff development.
Business Development
-
Collaborate with operational managers to identify Residential Guarding and bulk sale opportunities.

Generate proposals for new business and drive community engagement through operational collaborations.
Attrition Management
-
Manage attrition and implement strategies to reduce turnover.

Monitor and plan actions to address branch attrition rates.

Minimize exposure to bad debt and financial difficulty.
Competencies (Technical & Behavioral)

Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.

Extensive knowledge of operations, sales, technical, and administrative functions.

Strong integrity, command skills, and the ability to manage through systems.

Excellent time management, business acumen, and customer focus.
