Shoprite’s OK Furniture division, part of Africa’s largest retail group, is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager to join its dynamic management team. This role requires strong leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to drive sales performance in a fast-paced furniture retail environment.
Purpose of the Job
To oversee all departments within the OK Furniture branch, ensuring smooth daily operations, high customer satisfaction, strong sales performance, and effective staff management.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service across the branch.

Manage and drive branch sales performance.

Lead, motivate, and manage all branch staff effectively.

Oversee stock management processes and ensure accurate stock control.

Manage branch cash-handling procedures and ensure compliance.

Report on all operational activities, performance metrics, and relevant data.

Implement daily operational controls and ensure adherence to company standards.

Maintain expenses within approved budget guidelines.
Qualifications
-
Matric (Grade 12).

Completion of the Branch Manager Designate Programme (essential).
Experience
-
2 years’ experience in Furniture Procedures (essential).

2 years’ experience in Branch Management (essential).

2 years’ experience in Retail (essential).
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
-
6 months’ experience with Branch Systems.
-
6 months’ experience with Branch Reports.
-
1 year of computer literacy.
Desirable:
-
1 year of Furniture Product knowledge.
-
1 year of Stock Management experience.

6 months’ Financial Management exposure.

6 months’ Performance Management experience.
