Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available at Tekkie Town for a high-impact Business Analyst – Retail Systems who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. This role goes beyond documenting requirements and involves full ownership of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across multiple workstreams. You will act as the critical link between business units, internal IT teams, and external development partners, ensuring successful system delivery, stability, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the elicitation of business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications, including data flows, logic, and integration points.
• Own the delivery of system enhancements from concept through to deployment, including feasibility assessments and milestone management.
• Manage vendor deliverables and engagements, including Pepkor NexTech and external development partners.
• Take full accountability for system stability by creating and maintaining robust test scripts and coordinating regression testing.
• Ensure deployments have zero impact on trading operations.
• Analyse existing business processes to identify gaps between current practices and group systems.
• Define and champion future-state processes and manage the system and organisational change required for adoption.
• Act as the primary liaison between HODs, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate user training sessions and workshops to ensure effective system and process adoption.
• Execute and manage UAT, functional testing, and integration testing with confidence and accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business or Systems Analysis, preferably within a retail environment.
• Relevant tertiary IT qualification, certificate, or diploma in Business Process Analysis is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
• Strong understanding of general ERP structures (essential).
• Proven experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Navision (NAV), LS Retail, and SQL (highly preferred).
• Ability to operate across multiple roles, including Business Analyst, Project Manager, Tester, and Trainer.
• Understanding of code logic, database queries, and API structures.
• Ability to manage high-pressure release cycles and perform after-hours system checks when required.
• High attention to detail with strong data analysis and reporting accuracy.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
