Overview:
Deposita, a leading provider of cash and payment solutions, is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Business Development Executive, based at our Midrand Head Office. This opportunity forms part of our Talent Pool, aimed at identifying future candidates for upcoming roles within the organization.
Purpose of the Role:
The Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving sustainable revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and positioning Deposita’s solutions to meet customer needs. This includes both acquiring new clients and growing existing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition and Sales Growth

Develop and execute strategic call plans to maximize new, renewal, and upselling opportunities

Prepare and submit accurate, professional quotations and proposals

Conduct on-site inspections to assess customer requirements and mitigate risks

Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools such as Salesforce

Track leads and follow through the full sales cycle until successful contract closure

Attend industry events, expos, and use social media platforms to promote brand visibility and generate leads

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets aligned with the company’s sales strategy
Client Retention and Relationship Management

Maintain regular contact with existing customers and implement structured retention strategies
-
Address client queries and proactively provide service updates and product enhancements
-
Visit clients routinely to strengthen relationships and upsell new offerings, especially to large corporate groups
-
Handle termination threats swiftly and professionally

Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are well documented and clearly communicated to the operations team
Administration and Product Knowledge

Maintain accurate and updated client records and documentation across Salesforce and internal systems
-
Ensure all contracts are correctly completed and signed before activation
-
Assist with amendments to contracts and ensure related paperwork is properly processed

Attend product training sessions provided by Deposita and Allied Universal

Submit accurate weekly sales forecasts and daily sales activity updates
-
Stay informed on industry trends and developments in the cash and payment environment
Health and Safety

Participate in the planning and review of departmental health and safety initiatives
-
Attend safety meetings and follow company safety policies and procedures
-
Report and follow up on safety incidents as required

Distribute relevant safety information and attend refresher programs when needed
Minimum Requirements:
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in a target-driven environment

Sound knowledge of contract management and FICA compliance
Key Skills and Attributes:

Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

Experience using Salesforce CRM

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
