Mr Price Vacancies – Call Centre Agent (new accounts)

Mr Price is seeking a Call Centre Agent (New Accounts) to join our dynamic customer service team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling store card applications, verifying customer information, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent service. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries and correspondence to avoid backlogs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Verify employment and personal information telephonically for all new store card applications.

  • Accurately update customer information on the Debtor’s system to maintain a reliable and current customer database.

  • Process store card applications for all Mr Price Group divisions to grow the customer and credit base (outbound agents only).

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12

Experience

  • At least 1 year of call centre experience, preferably in new account processing

  • Experience in account application processing is advantageous

Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with relevant industry legislation: Consumer Protection Act, POPI Act, National Credit Act, ICASA regulations

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills

  • Demonstrated empathy and customer service orientation

  • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering effective solutions

  • High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and compliance
