A permanent position for a Cashbook Accountant is available at our Midrand Head Office. The role will report directly to the Financial Manager and involves managing the daily cashbook functions and supporting the finance department with various tasks.
Key Performance Areas:

Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow updates

Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with asset verification and clearing accounts

Load payments onto the electronic banking system

Process payment clearings
-
Initiate and prepare documentation for petty cash, expense claims, and other payments

Resolve MOS queries from branches
-
Prepare daily and monthly reports for management
-
Reconcile and process subcontractor payments
-
Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets
-
Prepare and process monthly accruals
-
Complete monthly VAT reconciliations
Skills Required:
-
Recognized tertiary qualification in accounting
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

Proficiency in SAP system
-
Advanced skills in MS Word and especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

Strong numerical accuracy and methodical working methods

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to liaise professionally with clients and personnel at all levels

Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
