Job Overview
Dis-Chem is seeking a Clinic Nurse Practitioner to join their team at Eikestad Mall, Stellenbosch. The role involves managing and operating a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic within a pharmacy, providing patient care within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.
Key Responsibilities

Perform clinic duties in accordance with industry regulations and best practices

Manage clinic objectives and patient flow to enhance service efficiency

Ensure all clinic services are available and operational according to set hours
-
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper follow-up
-
Process claims accurately and on time according to industry standards
-
Monitor clinic stock and equipment, ensuring functionality and sufficiency
-
Build and maintain professional relationships with patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers, and community healthcare stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
Tertiary qualification in General Nursing
-
Degree or Diploma in Midwifery
-
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
-
BHF registration for nursing practitioners
-
2–3 years’ experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
-
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Advantageous
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
-
Familiarity with Patient Record Systems, CKS, and Allegra
Competencies
-
Knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health nursing, family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain management, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, and wound care

Participation in quarterly CPD and in-service training

Strong command of English (written and oral)

Analytical skills for monthly clinic statistics and financial targets

Emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial mindset, trustworthy and honest

Ability to self-manage and lead a team, self-directed and motivated
