Mr Price is hiring a Collections Agent for its Financial Services division, specifically for the night shift. This role focuses on collecting overdue installments, negotiating repayment terms, and resolving account discrepancies to support the financial wellbeing of our customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls to customers in arrears, ensuring the successful collection of overdue payments on all lending products. Your duties include processing customer refunds, adjusting accounts as necessary, and resolving discrepancies such as short payments or account queries.
Updating customer records is crucial, including personal, employment, and contact details to maintain accuracy. You will also play a vital role in customer rehabilitation by delivering a high standard of customer service and offering practical repayment solutions.
In this role, it’s essential to manage queries and complaints from customers or stores effectively, ensuring timely and accurate resolution to build and maintain trust.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

6 to 12 months of experience in a collections environment

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and resolve issues

Excellent verbal and written communication

Familiarity with NCA (National Credit Act) requirements relevant to collections and credit control

Knowledge of the full account lifecycle and collection processes

Availability to work night shift from 11:00 to 20:00
