Reporting to: Head of Group Marketing and Communications, Fidelity Services Group
Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Communications Specialist will influence stakeholder behavior to support the brand vision and business priorities through effective and timely external communications and reputation management. The role aims to build trust and credibility by ensuring positive public relations, maintaining a perception of thought leadership, and promoting good corporate citizenship. This position involves crafting, designing, and executing regional communication plans aligned with marketing for the respective regions.
The incumbent will source and distribute news stories, new products, market-specific information, and general communications to customers, media, and other interested parties via various platforms.
Main Duties:

Coordinate all marketing and communication activities across regions, ensuring an adequate share of voice.

Plan and implement promotional campaigns aligned with national marketing and communication strategies.

Report regularly on the success of regional communications activities.

Ensure a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.

Collaborate with a PR agency to increase share of voice, report on best practices, and gather insights.

Build and maintain strong media relations and conduct media monitoring.

Work with the business on PR and marketing regional-specific plans.

Assist with crisis communication planning and ensure timely and effective responses to potential issues.

Investigate appropriate communication platforms used by communities and cities for distributing communications.

Identify suburb-specific communication tools and partner with community leaders to communicate key messages that drive customer awareness.

Segment customer base to define target audiences for relevant communications.

Grow awareness, engagement, and consideration for the Fidelity brand in the region through consistent messaging and positive initiatives.

Formulate communication policies that effectively represent the organization to customers and stakeholders.

Manage, distribute, and analyze customer satisfaction surveys.

Take on additional communication projects as needed.

Develop and manage social media and WhatsApp content to build brand awareness and positioning.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

B-degree in Communications or related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience as a corporate Communications Specialist.

Agency experience is advantageous.
