FlySafair is currently recruiting for a qualified and detail-oriented Continued Airworthiness Specialist. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all maintenance, inspections, and materials used in aircraft operations meet strict airworthiness and regulatory standards. This role is based within the engineering and quality assurance department.
Responsibilities:

Review work-packs before submission to the AMO to ensure they align with the aircraft status report and SAM requirements.

Prevent the installation of defective or unserviceable parts on any FlySafair aircraft prior to release.

Accept and inspect all incoming parts and materials, including new, repaired, and supplied components from contracted service providers.

Conduct technical inspections on aircraft systems, components, and parts to verify compliance and serviceability.

Confirm correct tagging and traceability of all components.

Perform regular inspections of on-site maintenance equipment and tooling, ensuring proper calibration and safety standards are upheld.

Oversee and sign off on in-progress and final inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, or overhaul of aircraft and parts.

Audit maintenance procedures, job progress, and documentation to ensure adherence to approved methods and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular ramp inspections and monitor aircraft documentation libraries for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed and documented prior to release to service.

Complete and manage all required maintenance and inspection records efficiently.

Perform internal audits to verify compliance with aviation maintenance standards.

Report any discrepancies or unairworthy conditions in line with company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential)

Aircraft Technician trade certificate (Essential)

AME license with type ratings on B737-400 and B737-800 (Essential)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Essential)

At least 1 year of direct work experience with the SACAA (Essential)

Engineering degree in Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical, Avionics, or a related field (Advantageous)
