Responsibilities
As a Credit Controller, you will play a critical role in enhancing PepsiCo’s cash flow and minimizing the risk of bad debts. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the credit control function, managing and collecting debts, and ensuring timely payments from company debtors. You will work to ensure that all claims are managed effectively, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure compliance with credit terms and limits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing payments and accurately reconciling debtor accounts

  • Managing and processing claims such as transport claims, sallies, returns, and damages

  • Ensuring accurate master data management in line with company policies

  • Maintaining good relationships with internal and external customers

  • Ensuring that approved credit terms and limits are not exceeded

  • Clearing accounts accurately and submitting statements in a timely manner to prevent late payments

  • Reporting on aging accounts (30, 60, 90, 120 days) and developing action plans

  • Managing interdepartmental communications with Sales Admin, Sales, and other teams

  • Advising supervisors about potential bad debts and taking necessary action steps

  • Ensuring compliance with the POPI Act in handling debtor informationk

Qualifications

  • Matric

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance or Credit Management

  • Proficiency in SAP and BI systems

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Financial & Management Accounting

  • Experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Strong persuasion, influence, and negotiation abilities

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail
