Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an exciting opportunity within the Sales & Marketing Department. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Customer Manager. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in customer relationship management, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination within the FMCG sector.

Role Purpose
The Customer Manager will be responsible for developing and executing customer-specific strategies that align with broader business objectives. The role requires collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to drive volume growth, increase market share, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize overall commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized customer execution plans to support volume growth and market expansion.

  • Collaborate with procurement to align vendor management strategies with customer requirements, ensuring optimal service delivery.

  • Work closely with strategic partners including Coca-Cola (KO) and Monster Energy Company (MEC) to align on promotions and product offerings.

  • Coordinate with commercial teams to align consumer promotions and channel strategies, reviewing execution and optimizing ROI.

  • Partner with the Revenue Growth team to ensure pricing structures are competitive, financially sound, and aligned with business goals.

  • Engage with Supply Chain and Route-To-Market teams to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and seamless execution of customer plans.

  • Ensure operational excellence by minimizing disruptions, improving service delivery, and optimizing resource allocation.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • A relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, or a related field

  • A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales environment

  • 5 years of managerial experience within the FMCG industry

  • Experience in customer management is preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to develop and execute customer strategies that drive growth

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across departments and external partners

  • Expertise in negotiation and long-term relationship building

  • Proficient in data analysis and performance evaluation to inform business strategy

  • Capable of managing multiple projects with strong execution focus

  • Problem-solving ability to address and resolve issues quickly

  • Sound financial understanding of pricing models, revenue growth, and cost efficiency
