Flysafair is looking for a qualified and experienced Dangerous Goods/AVSEC Instructor to join our training division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive ground training in Dangerous Goods (DG), Aviation Security (AVSEC), and Weight and Balance (W&B), both in-classroom and online. This role requires a strong understanding of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured training sessions for DG, AVSEC, and W&B in line with approved training manuals and current regulations.

Prepare training environments and ensure training materials are up to date and readily available.

Facilitate sessions both in-person and virtually, ensuring interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Provide ongoing support and individual feedback to trainees throughout their learning journey.

Complete and manage training documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Develop and maintain high-quality training content aligned with company policies and SACAA guidelines.

Assist with resolving instructional challenges and identifying new training needs.

Monitor training effectiveness and suggest improvements to enhance delivery and learning outcomes.

Stay informed on current industry developments, regulatory updates, and internal procedures.

Conduct on-the-job training and provide support during audits and inspections as required.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (essential).

Current SACAA instructor certification in one or more of the following areas: SMS, AVSEC, Cabin Crew, DG, or W&B (essential).

Accredited qualifications in Train the Trainer, Assessor, Moderator, Coaching & Mentoring, and Auditor certifications (essential).

Diploma or Degree in Education, Training, or a related field (desirable).

At least 2 years of operational flying experience with demonstrated proficiency in DG/AVSEC/SMS/W&B (essential).

Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (essential).

Sound knowledge of applicable CATs, CARs, and SACAA regulations.

Understanding of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and aviation SOPs.
