Description
As a Data Analyst, your primary focus will be to harness retail, customer, and marketing data to generate actionable insights that optimize marketing campaigns and guide strategic decision-making. In this role, you will contribute significantly to data-driven initiatives within a large-scale retail environment, playing a key part in shaping business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Data Insights & Analysis:
Develop reports and interactive dashboards, conduct descriptive analysis on retail and customer behavior, and evaluate the performance of various projects and interventions. -
System & Project Delivery:
Lead the delivery of system improvements and provide support for predictive and prescriptive modeling projects. -
Strategic Recommendations:
Use your analytical skills to identify opportunities, make recommendations for future initiatives, and enable better business outcomes.
Requirements
Role Requirements

Business degree with Analytical/Commercial subjects (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an analyst, preferably in a marketing or digital agency with a focus on delivering customer insights to change customer behavior.

Retail experience will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in Big Query SQL, Python, or R.

Above-average computer literacy (MS Office, Excel (Advanced), Google Workspace).

Experience with data visualization tools such as Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.

Knowledge of statistics and data modeling.

Experience with data cleaning and enrichment.

Understanding of POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act).
