Parmalat Vacancies – Demand Planning Manager

Lactalis South Africa is offering an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join the team at our Western Cape office. This role is integral to aligning the efforts of Commercial and Supply Chain teams through effective integration and collaborative planning. The successful candidate will lead demand planning initiatives to ensure customer demand is met while enabling business functions to achieve their strategic performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and accuracy of the Sales Forecast, ensuring it supports both short-term supply planning and long-term volume forecasts used in financial planning, capacity reviews, and raw material allocation (including raw milk)

  • Continuously improve the Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) process and associated dashboards to enhance operational alignment and performance

  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly Demand Reviews with Commercial teams, aimed at improving Sales Forecast Accuracy, reducing working capital, and increasing customer service levels

  • Strengthen collaboration with Commercial teams to refine promotional volume planning and ensure accurate phasing

  • Promote the use of BI tools and data analytics across the supply chain to drive smarter, data-informed decisions

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and support team development through training and skills enhancement

Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant degree in BCom, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • 5 to 8 years of supply chain experience, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing environments

  • Proficiency in data analytics and experience using BI tools will be advantageous

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and lead a team effectively

  • Resilient, adaptable, and self-driven with a strong sense of accountability
