Job Overview:
BUCO is looking for a dependable and skilled Driver (3501 – 9000 kg) to deliver goods to customers while ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with vehicle maintenance, loading supervision, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Deliveries: Deliver goods to customers promptly while maintaining schedules.
- Vehicle Organization: Ensure the vehicle is packed neatly and securely each day to prevent damage and breakage.
- Loading and Offloading: Supervise and assist with packing, loading, and offloading materials.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform daily inspections of the vehicle using the provided checklist and report any defects to the supervisor.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly wash and clean the vehicle to maintain its condition.
- Accurate Deliveries: Ensure that the correct quantities of goods are delivered to the right location.
- Cost Efficiency: Reduce vehicle running costs by combining trips in the same direction.
- Delivery Documentation: Obtain signed delivery notes from authorized recipients and ensure proper filing.
- COD Collection: Collect COD payments and hand over the correct amounts to the responsible party.
- Customer Assistance: Assist with serving customers in the yard when not on delivery runs.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Code 10 (HV) or Code 8 (LV) license (3501 – 9000 kg)
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
