Role: Finance Manager Operations – Specialized Services Division

Main Job Purpose:

The Finance Manager Operations is responsible for providing efficient and effective finance business support to the Specialized Services Division. This role involves planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities that ensure the timely and accurate financial reporting, budget development and control, proactive business case and cost-saving model development, effective cash flow management, and adherence to sound internal controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or Matric Certificate

  • Valid, unendorsed motor vehicle license

  • Clear criminal record

  • Fully computer literate in SAP/Similar ERP System and MS Office Suite (advanced user)

  • Own reliable transport

  • CIMA Member (or equivalent qualification)

  • B Com Honours

  • Minimum 3-5 years of post-articles experience (preference for candidates with Services/Logistics/Transport industry experience)

  • Willingness to travel and work away from the appointed location

Job Objectives:

  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports

  • Provide monthly profit and loss forecasts by division (vs. budget)

  • Complete detailed analysis of financial results

  • Act as a business partner to the Operational Executives & CFO

  • Develop and execute analysis on business cases and financial models

  • Assist in the development of financial planning and analysis reports

  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets

  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts

  • Implement and monitor cost-saving models and initiatives

  • Ensure debtor collections are maximized, and DSO remains within target

  • Oversee the accounting and support services departments

  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness of financial and management reporting

  • Maintain legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions

  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and controls

  • Manage finance and admin staff

  • Lead and support ad hoc projects related to Business Intelligence, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence implementation within the guarding finance space
