Flysafair Careers – Fraud Coordinator
FlySafair, a leading South African airline, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fraud Coordinator to join the team at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Fraud and will play a key role in identifying and preventing fraudulent activities, while supporting ongoing investigations and maintaining compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze Post Payment Model queues for potential syndicate fraud activity

Maintain accurate records of fraud cases and recommend preventative strategies

Monitor the fraud detection system and ensure prompt response to flagged transactions

Upload new data into the fraud system and update the No-Fly list daily

Liaise with banks, cardholders, and call center teams on fraud-related issues

Monitor and manage reports from the official fraud line
-
Handle case administration, evidence gathering, interviews, and participation in disciplinary hearings and CCMA processes
-
Coordinate with SAPS and the courts for case resolution and provide regular feedback
-
Process weekly chargebacks and manage related administration, including generating invoices, credits, and handling ADM/ACM entries
-
Build strong relationships with external fraud prevention partners including Experian, banks, and SAPS
-
Compile daily operational fraud reports to support investigations and ensure compliance
-
Attend relevant webinars, seminars, and internal meetings
-
Mentor new team members and ensure they understand SOPs, regulations, and internal processes
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent
-
Full ACFE or ICFP membership and/or relevant tertiary qualification
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit card fraud investigations in aviation or online fraud environments (essential)

Proven experience with credit card fraud prevention systems (essential)

Knowledge of FlySafair products and systems, including booking, payment, and fraud platforms

Strong understanding of chargeback, refund, and fraud investigation procedures
-
Experience compiling fraud prevention strategies and analyzing large volumes of transaction data
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
-
Strong report writing and administrative skills
