Yuppiechef, part of Mr Price Group, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of IT to lead its technology strategy and execution. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for shaping and implementing innovative information management strategies that support business growth, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
This position plays a pivotal role in aligning technology with business objectives, collaborating across departments, removing barriers to progress, and overseeing the IT team to ensure delivery of a robust, future-ready technology roadmap.

Key Requirements

A university degree in IT or a related field (NQF level 8 equivalent)

10–15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior or management role

Proven experience in the retail industry, ideally within homeware, fashion, or consumer goods

A strong background in leading digital transformation initiatives, including the launch or expansion of e-commerce platforms

Experience in developing and executing omnichannel strategies that integrate online and in-store operations

Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing, cross-functional tech teams

Proficient in vendor and partner relationship management

Experience overseeing IT operations, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk, and support services

Solid financial management skills to oversee departmental budgets and support strategic execution across departments and projects
