Standard Bank is looking for a strategic and innovative professional to take on the role of Head, Product, Simple Risk Solutions. This role is central to the design and delivery of effective, accessible risk products—such as insurance solutions—for business clients, helping them protect their operations from common risks. The role focuses on building client-focused offerings that align with segment value propositions and country-specific strategies, while also supporting profitable channel behavior.
As the Head of this portfolio, you will take ownership of the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring the solutions are commercially viable, relevant across markets, and contribute to the bank’s broader risk management strategy.
Minimum Qualification

First Degree in Business Commerce, Actuarial Science, or Engineering
Experience Requirements

3–4 years in financial solutions within the financial services industry, with a focus on product and risk management

Demonstrated success in senior-level product design or financial and risk strategy roles in multinational environments

Proven ability to lead the integration of product, financial, and risk principles into sustainable business solutions
Additional Experience

5–7 years of experience in process re-engineering and change management

Strong understanding of ROE targets and the financial levers required to drive both value creation and cost reduction

In-depth market knowledge, including client segmentation, product profitability, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities

Lead the development and execution of simple risk products designed to meet business client needs
