Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a Health Consultants Talent Pool to identify and connect with qualified individuals specializing in Vitamins and Supplements for future opportunities across various store locations. The purpose of this talent pool is to have a group of pre-screened candidates with the necessary skills, qualifications, and attributes for potential job openings at Dis-Chem Pharmacies.

Purpose of the Role: Health Consultants will be responsible for effectively promoting and selling Dis-Chem’s Health Focus products while delivering consistent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric

• At least 6 months of sales experience in a vitamins or health environment

• Strong command of the English language

• Computer literate – MS Office

• Sound numerical skills

• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Qualification in BSc Biomedicine, BSc Biotechnology, or a relevant qualification in the health focus field

• Sales experience in a retail environment

• Experience in the health industry (vitamins, supplements, or health foods)

• Fluency in a second language commonly spoken in the area

Job Description:

• Assist and advise customers, ensuring the highest levels of customer care and service

• Support back shopping requests to maintain the effective operation of the department and store

• Keep merchandise displays in the health focus area well-stocked and faced up

• Report price discrepancies to management promptly

• Adhere to store layouts within the Health Department

• Ensure that promotional items are well-displayed, merchandised, and available

• Implement promotional displays and merchandising materials

• Meet monthly team, brand, and vendor targets

• Stay informed on new products and product lines

• Follow the Health Department’s administrative processes, including weekly returns, stock control, and monitoring stock levels
