Pepkor is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Operations Business Partner. This field-based role will support stores across the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Namibia.
The HR Operations Business Partner plays a vital role in supporting operations by handling recruitment, selection, performance management, training, and collaborating closely with the Human Resources/Industrial Relations department. This role requires the ability to manage confidential information with discretion while maintaining the integrity and high standards expected of this position.

Qualifications

Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree) in Human Resource Management or Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

At least five (5) years of human resources experience in advising or consulting in a medium to large company

Minimum of five years’ experience in the Retail/Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector
-
Fluent in English (both written and verbal)

Strong communication and administration skills

Excellent logical thinking and analytical abilities

High energy level with a performance-driven mindset

Proficient in computer literacy and numeracy

Exceptional planning, organizing, and time management skills

Ability to work under pressure, remain flexible, and maintain a positive attitude

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities

Oversee recruitment, selection, and induction processes to ensure the hiring of competent candidates

Support training and development initiatives within the division

Coordinate employee development plans and monitor their implementation

Manage the performance management process, ensuring compliance with company policies

Ensure adherence to Labour Law and company policies

Provide and analyze people-related data to support business decisions

Promote change readiness and drive company culture and values within the division

Conduct monthly store visits to check compliance with legislative requirements (extensive travel required)
