Pepkor Vacancies – HR Operations Business Partner

Pepkor is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Operations Business Partner. This field-based role will support stores across the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Namibia.

The HR Operations Business Partner plays a vital role in supporting operations by handling recruitment, selection, performance management, training, and collaborating closely with the Human Resources/Industrial Relations department. This role requires the ability to manage confidential information with discretion while maintaining the integrity and high standards expected of this position.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree) in Human Resource Management or Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  • Valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • At least five (5) years of human resources experience in advising or consulting in a medium to large company

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the Retail/Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector

  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)

  • Strong communication and administration skills

  • Excellent logical thinking and analytical abilities

  • High energy level with a performance-driven mindset

  • Proficient in computer literacy and numeracy

  • Exceptional planning, organizing, and time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, remain flexible, and maintain a positive attitude

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and induction processes to ensure the hiring of competent candidates

  • Support training and development initiatives within the division

  • Coordinate employee development plans and monitor their implementation

  • Manage the performance management process, ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Ensure adherence to Labour Law and company policies

  • Provide and analyze people-related data to support business decisions

  • Promote change readiness and drive company culture and values within the division

  • Conduct monthly store visits to check compliance with legislative requirements (extensive travel required)
