Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) offers an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing department. We are seeking a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience for an In-Service Trainee: Processing role, based in Devland. The successful candidate will report directly to the Process Support Manager.
The key purpose of this role is to provide syrup room support by producing final syrup intended for supply to the production lines. The In-Service Trainee will perform checks and analysis on the final syrup to ensure adherence to Coca-Cola KORE principles and regulatory requirements, ensuring that soft drinks are produced in compliance with all industry standards. The candidate will gain exposure to significant levels of automation and process control and will also be involved in process validation for in-house operations. Additionally, the role will include assisting in the investigation and implementation of process optimization opportunities within the Syrup Room.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Specialist Analysis

Prepare syrups for production lines.

Use SAP systems to ensure governance and process requirements are met.

Monitor and predict systems and controls.
-
Conduct process validations and support relevant projects.
-
Troubleshoot basic automation and control failures.
-
Perform specialized quality analyses and document results.
-
Analyze results to identify problems and improvement opportunities.
-
Communicate identified problems or improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
-
Apply lean manufacturing principles.
-
Perform calibration of specialist equipment and assist shift-based teams with calibration.
Quality Auditing
-
Conduct required quality audits and communicate findings.
-
Review quality analysis procedures of shift-based teams and communicate training needs or problems.
-
Regularly audit calibration procedures and ensure compliance.
-
Initiate corrective actions based on audit results, as needed.
Problem Solving
-
Provide specialist support to shift-based production teams during problem-solving sessions.
-
Participate in Failure Mode Analysis (FMAs) as a functional expert.
-
Ensure that lessons learned from problem-solving sessions are incorporated into analysis and lab procedures.
Training
-
Assist in training needs analysis for shift-based production teams.

Contribute to the development of training materials, particularly in quality analysis.

Assist with training shift-based production teams on quality analyses, as required.
Continuous Improvement
-
Perform specialized analyses to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities.

Evaluate additional analytic work required for continuous improvement opportunities.

Participate in team evaluations of process optimization opportunities at regional and divisional levels.

Education:

Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science required).

Candidate must be in the final year of the theoretical component of a qualification (National Diploma) in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.

Must be between 18-35 years of age.
