The Job at a Glance:

Contract Duration: 12 Months

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to support projects within Tiger Brands. As an intern, you will gain practical experience that will give you a head start in your chosen career path.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Support various project work and problem-solving activities.

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project as assigned by your Line Manager.

  • Gain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career aspirations.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Collect and analyze Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) data.

  • Participate in emergency drills and contractor safety management.

  • Take part in SHE audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Assist in SHE training and awareness campaigns.

  • Contribute to incident investigations and support the review of SHE procedures.

  • Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct Planned Job Observations (PJOs) related to SHE aspects.

  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Safety Management (Must be looking to complete P1 & P2 training).

  • Samtrac Qualification.

  • Citizen in the country of hire and should be based in the city of hire.

  • A relevant National Diploma qualification.

  • Must not have worked full time (more than 1 year) in their field of study.

  • Work authorization in the country where the application is being submitted.
