Coca Cola Vacancies – Key Account Manager : Grocery / On Prem – Midrand

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has exciting opportunities available within the Sales & Marketing Department. We are seeking experienced professionals for six Key Account Manager: Grocery positions and one Key Account Manager: On Prem position. These roles are ideal for high-performing individuals who can drive revenue, volume, and customer relationship growth within the FMCG sector.

Purpose of the Role

The Key Account Manager: Grocery / On Prem is responsible for driving strategic customer relationships, delivering business growth through revenue and margin enhancement, implementing promotional campaigns, managing key performance indicators, and ensuring effective alignment between internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and margin growth by optimizing category performance and executing customer-specific business plans

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key account customers to ensure long-term partnership and satisfaction

  • Execute promotional campaigns with precision to improve market share and meet trade execution KPIs

  • Secure listings and support the commercial success of new product launches

  • Align internal functions such as finance, supply chain, and marketing with customer strategies to ensure seamless execution

  • Resolve financial queries, manage pricing claims, and maintain healthy account profitability

  • Ensure compliance with Coca-Cola system standards and uphold sound governance across all customer interactions

Performance Indicators

  • Revenue, margin, and volume growth

  • Increased market share

  • Customer Loyalty Index (CLI) improvements

  • Delivery against promotional and trade execution KPIs

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • A formal qualification in Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of sales management experience within the FMCG industry

  • Demonstrated success in key account management, trading term negotiations, and revenue enhancement

  • Experience with customer business models and collaborative work with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, supply chain)

Core Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen

  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

  • Ability to develop and implement effective customer business plans

  • Understanding of pricing models, ROI, and financial principles related to key accounts

  • Market awareness and ability to anticipate trends and competitor moves

  • Proficient in digital platforms for account management and performance tracking

  • Results-driven with strong campaign execution capability
