Flysafair careers – Line Warehouse Controller

FlySafair is currently recruiting for a Line Warehouse Controller to manage the efficient flow, storage, and control of aircraft spare parts and tooling at their operational stations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal stock accuracy, tool readiness, and support for engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the movement of spares between operational bases and other stations.

  • Ensure prompt and accurate data capturing into the ERP stock management system.

  • Sort and store parts in designated areas upon receipt in line with company Work Instructions.

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and random stock checks to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain and file documentation relating to all spares movements.

  • Prepare COMAT documentation and ensure correct packaging of items for shipment.

  • Manage all tools and equipment within the station, including shelf-life items for tools, consumables, and rotables.

  • Load required spares into the requisition system and update ERP records to enhance inventory visibility.

  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the warehouse daily.

  • Route unserviceable spares to the central facility in Johannesburg to minimise turnaround times.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels of consumables and rotables.

  • Respond to spares requests through various channels including the requisition system, email, phone, and WhatsApp.

  • Support warehouse operations as requested by the Supervisor, including aircraft spares loading and offloading.

  • Maintain warehouse access control and security protocols at all times.

  • Generate daily reports post-shift and provide ad hoc reports as required.

  • Assist with handling and follow-up of spares under quarantine.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)

  • 2 to 3 years of warehouse experience (Essential)

  • Valid EB driver’s licence and ability to tow a trailer (Essential)

  • Valid passport and willingness to travel (Essential)

  • Forklift licence (Advantageous)

  • Knowledge of stock control, FIFO principles, and tooling (Essential)

  • Understanding of warehouse operations, AMO standards, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations

  • Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must have own reliable transport
