About the Role
Tiger Brands is looking for an experienced Logistics Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee outbound, inbound, inventory, compliance, and expense management processes to ensure seamless warehouse and logistics operations within an FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Logistics

Supervise and coordinate vehicle loading to meet delivery requirements.

Review Open Orders Book daily and liaise with the LCT Planner to confirm stocks.

Ensure FIFO practices to prevent warehouse write-offs.

Oversee customer collections, ensuring adherence to the Collection SOP.
Inbound Logistics

Inspect inbound stock for damages, expiry dates, and product condition.

Ensure accurate Goods Receipting within 3 working days on Oracle.

Run and clear in-transit reports timeously.
Expense and Staff Management
-
Manage expenses within budget and control outsourced 3PL service providers.

Process purchase orders and receipts on time.

Oversee overtime management and staff development.
Inventory Control

Maintain stock count accuracy of at least 99.5%.

Manage daily, weekly, and monthly stocktakes in line with SOP.

Ensure timely processing of stock movements to damages to avoid losses.

Conduct daily stock reconciliations and enforce FIFO principles.
Compliance and Training

Enforce company food safety, hygiene, and legal compliance standards.

Ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations.

Develop and train employees in the distribution department, ensuring training requirements are budgeted for.
Minimum Requirements

Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
-
3+ years’ experience in logistics, warehouse, or stock management (FMCG industry preferred)

Computer literacy with strong numerical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Supply Chain KPIs, logistics operations, food safety, and HACCP requirements
