Job Description
As a Marketing Manager: Home and Personal Care, you will lead a team of Senior Brand Managers, Brand Managers, and/or Assistant Brand Managers. Your primary responsibility is to drive short and medium-term sustainable, profitable growth for a portfolio of brands within various categories and segments. You will accomplish this by utilizing deep consumer and shopper insights to craft brands that resonate with consumers, developing compelling Category and/or Brand plans, and delivering exceptional brand experiences in innovation, communication, and activation. You will be responsible for executing the full marketing mix for your brands and for coaching and managing your team, providing leadership and inspiration throughout the process.
Responsibilities
You will:

Lead cross-functional teams to develop a brand strategy driven by consumer and customer insights that aligns with the Category strategy.

Translate marketing insights and analysis into clear and commercially compelling Brand Plans, detailing execution of Category Strategy, Pricing & Channel Strategy, Promotions Plan, and Innovation Plan to achieve the agreed growth agenda (volume, value, profit).

Drive your brand teams and cross-functional colleagues to meet the performance metrics approved by the Category Managing Director, such as volume, revenue, profit, or market share.

Track and monitor brand performance against financial targets and plans, executing corrective actions as necessary.

Motivate and guide your team to ensure quality and timely delivery of brand plans while fostering collaboration across teams to identify efficiencies and synergies.

Focus on the development and empowerment of team members, cultivating strong relationships within Tiger Brands, as well as with clients and suppliers.

Lead the creative agency through the Communication Strategy process, ensuring alignment and campaign approval.

Set pricing targets based on brand positioning and insights provided by the Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE).

Monitor marketing communications and promotions for consistency of messaging and clarity of information. Work with the Marketing function to assess campaign effectiveness.

Collaborate closely with the Customer team to align trade spend with your marketing calendar.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring to the Table

Well-rounded experience in consumer goods marketing, with a preference for roles that include customer experience.

A strong consumer focus with an insights-driven mindset, using understanding of consumer behavior to guide strategy and decision-making.

Strategic thinking and financial acumen, able to shape and execute plans to grow your category and navigate trade-offs.

A deep understanding of route-to-market strategies, including both modern and general trade.

Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think big, be efficient, and execute plans effectively.
Qualifications & Experience

6+ years of brand and marketing experience with a proven track record in driving brand growth and marketing excellence in an FMCG environment.

A BBusSc/BCom degree is preferred.

Demonstrated success in brand development and implementing “Idea to Market” strategies.

Proven ability to develop innovative consumer goods propositions based on rich consumer insights.
