As a Master Aviation Technician (Mechanical) at FlySafair, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety and operational standards through meticulous inspections and maintenance of aircraft. Your duties will include:

Conducting routine and non-routine inspections on various mechanical systems of the aircraft.

Performing A-checks, including weekly service checks.
-
Identifying and rectifying faults promptly.
-
Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed to maintain airworthiness.
-
Adhering to established maintenance procedures and safety standards.
-
Recording and signing off all activities as per SACAA requirements.
-
Complying with health and safety regulations to ensure personal and personnel safety, as well as preventing fire and accidents/incidents.

Maintaining a safe and properly equipped work area.
-
Applying analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Communicating clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Job Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent.
-
A minimum of 15 years of aviation experience.
-
Line and SVM experience.
-
Previous experience working on B737-400 and -800 aircraft.
-
Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737; 300/400/500/800.
-
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on public holidays.
-
Availability and willingness to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.

Valid South African passport holder.

Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation.

Thorough understanding of mechanical schematic systems.

Excellent troubleshooting experience on B737/400/800.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
