Dischem Vacancies – Nail Technician – Pretoria

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Nail Technician to travel to various salons in the PTA Region. In this role, you will be responsible for building your own clientele base and promoting the wide range of nail treatments offered by Dis-Chem.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate

  • Nail Technician Certificate (gel and acrylic)

  • A minimum of 2 years’ technical experience in a professional beauty or nail salon environment

  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Job Description:

  • Report customer compliments and complaints to management.

  • Conduct monthly promotions and ensure targets are met.

  • Meet monthly treatment and product sales targets.

  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on new products and treatment techniques.

  • Ensure new customers complete customer cards.

  • Complete and submit accurate monthly reports.

  • Adhere to Dis-Chem’s treatment and service payment procedures.

  • Manage stock levels according to Dis-Chem procedures, reporting on short, damaged, or expired stock.

  • Ensure effective merchandising and promotions.

  • Provide customers with high-quality nail care and nail painting services.

Competencies:

Essential:

  • General knowledge of nail technology, including correct product application techniques and nail contra-indications for nail treatments.

  • Strong command of the English language.

  • Team player with excellent customer relations skills.

  • Trustworthy and honest.

  • Deadline and target-driven, with strong daily treatment planning and administration, ensuring monthly treatment targets are met.

Advantageous:

  • Bilingual.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Willing and able to work retail hours.

  • Fit and capable of performing manicures and pedicures.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport, or reside near the store.

  • South African citizen.

  • Clear credit and criminal records.
