Value is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive National Bookings Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing national delivery bookings in alignment with our delivery schedule (DP Master), ensuring seamless coordination between Logistics, Warehousing, Linehaul Divisions, and customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing delivery consolidation, maximizing vehicle utilization, and ensuring efficient service delivery to Distribution Centres and receiver stores.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor Awaiting Bookings status and “My Business” reports daily to ensure timely bookings with Distribution Centres and Stores.

Manage the daily WIP (Work in Progress) report and rebook waybills that are overdue or failed.

Coordinate national bookings to consolidate freight efficiently and ensure optimal delivery planning.

Book and release waybills on “My Business” for Warehouse clients.

Communicate with booking receivers (via email or telephone) across Logistics Branches, In-Houses, and Warehouses.

Update bookings on Freightware and release orders per the standard bookings process for various clients.

Provide prompt, professional responses to emails and calls related to bookings and client inquiries.

Confirm and communicate booking confirmations to clients.

Reschedule or cancel bookings as necessary due to delays or unforeseen challenges.

Ensure accurate waybill status updates and adherence to branch-specific timelines.

Maintain correct delivery dates and times on Freightware.

Escalate missed bookings or complaints to the Department Manager promptly.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

Ability to work under pressure and manage large volumes of data efficiently

Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and operations teams

Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously (calls, emails, and reports)
Skills and Competencies

Strong decision-making skills in distribution planning

Ability to assess cost, vehicle type, and route prioritization

Knowledge of health and safety procedures applicable to own work environment

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Freightware systems
