Dis-Chem Pharmacies (CJ Sales) is seeking a National Sales Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to expand the business and increase sales for the Private Label division by researching, compiling, and presenting service/sales proposals to both new and existing clients. As a National Sales Manager, you will use your creativity and comprehensive knowledge of sales processes to introduce innovative ideas for business growth.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate

5 years of management experience in Sales, Marketing, Brand, Category, or Promotions
Advantageous:
-
Diploma or Degree in Retail, Sales, or any relevant qualification

Relevant experience in Retail
Job Specifications:
Strategy Development:
-
Contribute to the development of the strategic plan and prepare your departmental budget.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Lead the nationwide sales team to achieve sales targets.
-
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

Monitor and analyze performance metrics, suggesting improvements where necessary.

Establish sales objectives by forecasting annual sales targets for regions/territories, sales volume, and profit for both existing and new products.
Sales Team Management:

Ensure sales representatives meet group requirements and implement strategies consistently.

Attend regular training and development courses and ensure sales reps do the same, while collecting relevant feedback.
Sales Targets:

Determine sales targets for in-store sales consultants, tailored to regions and stores.

Monitor sales targets and provide intervention when necessary to identify areas for improvement and enhance effectiveness.

Ensure stock levels in stores align with set sales targets based on business needs and promotional objectives.
Competencies:
Essential:

Strong experience in retail, promotions, sales, stock management, reporting, and product knowledge

Ability to develop accurate sales forecasts, set realistic targets, and manage sales budgets effectively

Proficient in utilizing CRM systems to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and build long-term relationships

Strong financial, communication, and interpersonal skills
