Dis-Chem Pharmacies is offering an opportunity for a Pharma Inventory Graduate in Midrand. This role is designed to support the management of supplier relationships, trading terms, and inventory planning within the Pharma Category. The Pharma Inventory Graduate will assist with forecasting, replenishment, and stock management processes to ensure product availability and maintain optimal stock levels in alignment with Dis-Chem’s inventory benchmarks.

Job Description:
Vendor Relations and Agreements:
-
Assist in creating and updating vendor agreements, ensuring accurate documentation.

Support the coordination of new vendor agreements and renewals, tracking key deadlines.
-
Work with the legal team to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
-
Assist in organizing vendor meetings and tracking vendor performance against specifications, SLAs, and delivery timelines.
-
Maintain open communication and foster positive relationships with vendors.
-
Organize and manage contract documentation for efficient file management.
Stock Management and Allocation:
-
Help replenish stock into Distribution Centres based on assigned portfolio, ensuring optimal inventory levels.

Process orders according to the established ordering schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor daily stock levels in Distribution Centres and track supplier deliveries.
-
Allocate stock in alignment with customer demand and Dis-Chem policies.
-
Address inbound order issues, returns, and supplier recalls, ensuring quick resolution of discrepancies.

Maintain required stock cover and take proactive measures to minimize out-of-stock situations.

Manage back orders effectively, when applicable.
Category Inventory Maintenance:

Review dormant stock reports to identify stores for distribution and execution of IBTs.

Monitor short-dated or expired stock and work with stakeholders to take necessary actions.

Submit stock write-off recommendations to management for approval.
-
Coordinate with DC Management and vendors for stock returns or adherence to RTV policies.
-
Ensure inventory targets, including stock turn, sell-through rates, and stock on hand, are met.

Address non-compliance with vendors where stock cover is less than 95%.
Category Administration:

Communicate product information and master data updates to the Master Data team.

Address stock-related issues, pricing concerns, claims, and returns with relevant stakeholders.

Facilitate the issuance of credit notes for price reductions, ensuring smooth operations.

Actively manage and resolve heat calls related to inventory concerns.
Stakeholder Partnership:

Work closely with Distribution Centre operators to ensure timely supplier deliveries.

Collaborate with Pharma Inventory Officers and Finance on trade terms, pricing claims, and billing fees.

Maintain communication with suppliers to resolve inventory-related issues.
-
Partner with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to strengthen supplier relationships.

Coordinate with marketing, sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve stock shortfalls.
